ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE — JOB DESCRIPTION Full-Time | Charter College
Position Overview The Admissions Representative (AR) is responsible for handling all inquiries received by the college including telephone, direct mail, and internet. This role requires a proven ability to manage calls in a professional yet conversational tone while building relationships with prospective students. The AR must also generate personally developed leads through current students, outside resources, and referrals. This position reports to the Director of Admissions, Campus President, or Operations Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere strictly to accrediting agency and U.S. Department of Education guidelines for proprietary school admissions.
- Follow all policies outlined in the Admissions manual and Admissions Code of Conduct.
- Conduct high call volume in a fast-paced environment using established phone scripts.
- Schedule and conduct admission interviews by phone, in person, or video.
- Enroll qualified applicants and conduct follow-up procedures with enrolled and non-enrolled prospects.
- Generate required quota of personally developed leads daily.
- Enter all tasks and notes into CampusVue daily.
- Track incomplete enrollment files to ensure deadlines are met.
- Post all appointments on Outlook Calendar and respond to all emails.
- Participate in orientations, admissions meetings, and all staff meetings.
- Maintain a clean and professional work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2 years minimum experience in a customer service related environment.
- Inside Sales: 2 years (Required).
- Outbound Sales Calling: 2 years (Required).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, indoor sales environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond with urgency.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, database software, and internet.
- Knowledge of remote interpersonal communication tools and technologies.
- Punctual, responsible, ethical, and a team player.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
Schedule:
- Full-time | 8-hour shifts.
- Varied shifts Monday–Friday: 8:00am–5:00pm, 9:00am–6:00pm, or 11:00am–8:00pm.
- Saturday: 8:00am–5:00pm.
Compensation:
- Non-Exempt — Hourly.
- $28.85/hr.
